Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 sheet puff pastry
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface until it’s about 1/8 inch thick. Cut it into squares, about 4 inches wide.
  3. Mix the cream cheese filling: In a bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract. Blend until smooth and creamy.
  4. Fill the pastry squares: Place a dollop of the cream cheese mixture onto the center of each pastry square.
  5. Add the blueberries: Top each cream cheese portion with a spoonful of blueberries.
  6. Fold and seal: Gently fold the corners of each pastry square towards the center and pinch to seal tightly.
  7. Brush with egg wash: Lightly coat the tops of each sealed pastry with the beaten egg.
  8. Bake: Place your pastries on a lined baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
  9. Cool and dust: Allow them to cool slightly on a wire rack, then dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

Avoid overfilling the pastries to prevent bursting. Keep the puff pastry cold for best results.
