Savory Marinated Beef

A rich and savory beef dish marinated in a delightful blend of soy sauce, garlic, and brown sugar, creating a luxurious experience for special occasions or cozy dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb beef (ribeye or sirloin)
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp lime juice

Instructions

  1. Prepare the marinade: In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, minced garlic, brown sugar, and lime juice. Whisk together until the sugar dissolves.
  2. Marinate the beef: Place the beef in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish, pouring the marinade over it. Seal or cover tightly and marinate for at least 30 minutes, or overnight for optimal flavor.
  3. Heat the skillet: Preheat a skillet or cast iron pan over medium-high heat.
  4. Sear the beef: Remove the beef from the marinade, letting excess drip off. Place it in the heated pan and sear undisturbed for 3-4 minutes.
  5. Flip and cook: Flip the beef and cook for an additional 3-5 minutes, or until desired doneness.
  6. Rest and slice: Remove the beef from heat and let it rest for about 5 minutes before slicing against the grain.

Notes

For enhanced flavor, marinate beef overnight. Use an instant-read thermometer to check doneness.
