Baked Italian Grinder Sandwiches

Ingredients

  • Italian Bread or Hoagie Rolls
  • Sliced Salami
  • Sliced Ham
  • Sliced Turkey or Roast Beef
  • Mozzarella Cheese
  • Italian Seasoning
  • Olive Oil
  • Lettuce
  • Tomato Slices
  • Onions (optional)
  • Pepperoncini (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice the Italian bread or hoagie rolls in half lengthwise, keeping them connected at the base.
  3. Layer the deli meats on the bottom half of the rolls.
  4. Place slices of mozzarella cheese on top of the meats.
  5. Sprinkle Italian seasoning over the cheese.
  6. Drizzle olive oil on the cut sides of the bread.
  7. Close the sandwich and wrap it in aluminum foil.
  8. Bake for about 15-20 minutes until the cheese is melty and the bread is crisp.
  9. Remove from the oven, unwrap, and add fresh toppings such as lettuce, tomato, onions, and pepperoncini.
  10. Cut into portions and serve warm.

Notes

Make sandwiches ahead of time, refrigerate, and bake straight from the fridge for best results.
