Autumn Butternut Squash Apple Bake: A Cozy Delight!

A warm and comforting dish combining the sweetness of butternut squash and apples, perfect for autumn.

  • 1 medium butternut squash, peeled and cubed
  • 2 medium apples, cored and sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup walnuts, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the cubed butternut squash and sliced apples.
  3. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with cinnamon, nutmeg, brown sugar, salt, and pepper. Toss to coat evenly.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and spread it out evenly.
  5. Sprinkle chopped walnuts on top.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the squash is tender and lightly caramelized.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
