Apricot Dijon Spiral Ham: A Delicious Holiday Must-Try!

Apricot Dijon Spiral Ham is a flavorful and festive dish perfect for holiday gatherings, combining the sweetness of apricots with the tanginess of Dijon mustard.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 fully cooked spiral ham (about 810 pounds)
  • 1 cup apricot preserves
  • 1/2 cup Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix together apricot preserves, Dijon mustard, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, ground ginger, and ground cloves.
  3. Place the spiral ham in a roasting pan, cut side down.
  4. Brush the glaze generously over the ham, making sure to get it between the slices.
  5. Cover the ham loosely with aluminum foil.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-18 minutes per pound, or until heated through.
  7. Remove the foil during the last 30 minutes of cooking to allow the glaze to caramelize.
  8. Let the ham rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can add chopped fresh herbs to the glaze.
  • Leftover ham can be used in sandwiches or salads.
  • Make sure to baste the ham with the glaze every 30 minutes for a richer flavor.
